This compact three-bedroom bungalow is ideal for a small to medium family

Bungalows never go outmoded or old-fashioned.  They are always the top choice of homeowners.  Their being the favorite may be attributed to their open floor design that allows flexibility, accessibility, and low maintenance.

Though we have posted many bungalows in our previous posts, we are again posting another to give you more concepts to get inspiration from. So, check this bungalow that we are featuring just for you.

This is the actual photo of the house.  It is elevated 6 steps higher from the ground making it flood-proof.  This design is applicable to places that are prone to flood.  Its elevation also serves an aesthetic purpose because it also adds appeal to its overall appearance.

The facade showcases the porch, typical of all bungalow designs though some bungalows have the veranda. For the point of comparison, we will differentiate the two.

Homedit wrote that a  porch is a covered shelter projecting in front of the entrance of a house or building in general. The structure is external to the walls of the building but it may be enclosed in certain types of frames including walls, columns or screens, extending from the main structure.

In that article, it also explained that a veranda or verandah is a roofed platform along the outside of a house. It’s level with the ground floor and often extends across both the front and the sides of the structure. It can be partly enclosed by a railing.

So, with that definition, what we have here in this bungalow is a porch and not a veranda.

The glass door and windows make the interior look bright.  They provide a view of the outdoors and also provide ventilation.

Being compact, it used the space wisely diving it into the three bedrooms, living room and dining sharing the open floor.  It has a kitchen where the backdoor is located. There are two toilets and baths and there is another porch in the back of the house.
